Shipping & Receiving
Our showroom and operations are based in Nashville, TN and we serve all of the greater middle Tennessee area.
Werthan’s showroom has been developed to maximize the clients’ experience. The focus at Werthan is developing the clients’ dream into a reality. With an endless palette of countertop and tile materials, shapes and colors, our designers and you can create a custom package individualized for you.
Our Pre-Production department is one of the most important aspects of our production operations. This includes template, CAD drafting and virtual layouts. Final design takes place during this process, shapes are placed on the material for vein matching approval and digital files for our machinery are created.
Our shipping and receiving department plays a very important role in the production process. All material that is used for surfaces are examined for defects, damage and inconsistent finishes. This is to ensure we are using the best quality material for each job. Once the material has been approved to be received, pictures are taken of the material for the Pre-Production team to complete the vein match layouts.
With today's digital technology, precision is much easier to obtain. Our Kuka robotic arm offers precise cutting with the use of a wet saw and water jet combination. Once the vein match layouts are approved, slabs are loaded onto the saw table, a picture of the material is taken and the vein match is overlaid onto the picture. Using alignment marks created in CAD, our operator is able to align the digital layout with the real material. At this point, the robotic arm will cut the shapes from the slab.
CNC technology has exploded in the last 10 years. With tolerances to the thousandths of an inch, its accuracy is unmatched. Our machine takes the shapes cut by the robot and tools them to the exact final dimensions. It will apply any edge profiles requested, cut any sink cutouts or other penetrations and it even has the ability to polish all finished edges.
Werthan takes pride knowing that customers come to us for high quality finished products. Our fabrication team plays a large part in our ability to produce such high quality. Each top is examined by hand by the fabricator, polished to the final finish requested and, when requested, complete our most custom projects such as laminations.
A new arrival for us in 2016 was a CNC for our solid surface department. Like our stone CNC, this machine is very accurate. It has the ability to produce at a rate that is equivalent to having two production shifts in one regular shift.
The solid surface fabrication team are highly skilled. Their knowledge about solid surface allows us to produce some amazing projects. We have the ability to do large laminations, integral sinks and custom shapes, all while providing completed jobs that have virtually no visible seams.
Installation is where the job comes together. All the planning that took place in Pre-Production, the machinery work, and fabrication quality is now ready to be executed. This is a tough job, stone is heavy and entrances are never easy. Our skilled team of installers have all the tools and knowledge to complete the projects and the drive to ensure that the final project is completed the way our customers envisioned it to be.
